Every day, we need to go to our quiet place...

Today's Scriptural Meditation Readings:

Augst 10 A..D. 2010

Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:

2 Corinthians 9:6-10
Psalm 112:1-2, 5-6, 7-8, 9
John 12:24-26

A reflection on today's Scripture:

Today's First Reading is so beautiful and contains such wonderful and uplifting thoughts!

How good it would be if we could always keep them in mind! They would be like healing salve, not only on our rough and wounded edginess, but on the "woundedness" of everyone we meet.

There would be no worrying, "How will I ever I get through this day and however will there be enough of the little goodness I sometimes recognize in myself, to be a true and healing disciple of the Lord?"

We are told, (if you would read), that God gives us all that is necessary:

The one who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food
will supply and multiply your seed
and increase the harvest of your righteousness.
(2 Corinthians 9:10)
