Every day, we need to go to our quiet place...

Today's Scriptural Meditation Readings:

December 26 A..D. 2009

Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:

Acts 6:8-10; 7:54-59
Psalm 31:3cd-4, 6 and 8ab, 16bc and 17
Matthew 10:17-22

A reflection on today's Scripture:

Stephen, filled with grace and power, was working wonders. . . .

The Lord has come! His birth makes possible Stephen's miracles. His birth makes possible our rejoicing in this glad season of Christmas.

By His birth we are transformed into sons and daughters of God, part of one large family. By His birth we can work wonders through the grace and power by which He supports us day by day.

We are empowered as His people to bring His word, His Joy, His Birth to all the Earth.

Hallelujah, the Lord has come to us!

Let us rejoice in His presence and power among us!
