Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:
Psalm 146:7, 8-9a, 9bc-10
A reflection on today's Scripture:
For many of us in the United States, the result of the recent presidential election is devastating. Others, the majority, as it seems, are delighted.
What now do the devastated do, or, the delighted?
Sister Miriam of the Holy Spirit OCD, in one of her poems, The Song of Distance, wrote this wonderful line:
"God speaks to me. Earth has no more to say."
Let us then look at Holy Scripture, the Word of God; what does it say? It talks of all life's circumstances, those that are devastating, and those that are delightful!
Let us then look at Holy Scripture, the Word of God, what does it say? It talks of all life's circumstances, those that are devestating, those that are delightful!
Love God, love your neighbor, pray unceasingly.
The way of the wicked He thwarts.
The LORD shall reign forever.
