Today's Scriptural Meditation Readings:

Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:
1 Corinthians 4:1-5
Psalm 37:3-4, 5-6, 27-28, 39-40
A reflection on today's Scripture:
How much time do you waste worrying about what other people think of you?
If you are like many others, it is probably a good deal of time. We seem to be so concerned with how others judge us; we become too concerned with how we look to them, rather than using this time to take care of our hearts and our relationship with God.
St. Paul warns us today that we should not be worried about how others judge us and he even goes further stating we should not judge ourselves. Along with this he says, "Therefore, do not make any judgment before the appointed time. . . ." reminding us that we too should not judge others. Jesus is the final judge and when the time comes for him to judge us all will be known. (see 1 Corinthians 4:5)
Our duty is clear from this: we are to be trustworthy stewards of Godís great mysteries and servants of Christ. This leaves us no time to worry about how others see us, or in judging others.
