Today's Scriptural Meditation Readings:

Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:
Psalm 2:6-7, 8-9, 10-11ab
A reflection on today's Scripture:
Jesus tells us to not be troubled, but to have faith in Him.
Do we really do that?
I find myself in many instances being troubled by a number of things. Sometimes my troubles involve health issues, family problems and financial concerns. At times my troubles seem to be so overwhelming that I wonder how I will ever make it.
But as it usually happens, all my worrying and troubles are for nothing, as in reality there is not a lot I can do about most of these matters, and things tend to run their course whether I worry or not. I donít think I am unique, but just one of His people that fall into this trap.
Do you also find yourself doing this?
We can certainly find true comfort in realizing that most things are out of our control, and instead of fretting about them we should turn to Him and have faith that all will be well. When we are truly able to do this, our lives are so much richer as we allow the love of our Lord to envelop us and keep us safe from the true perils we face.
