Psalm 119:23-24, 26-27, 29-30
A brief reflection on today's Scripture passages:
Though we are still reflecting on the beautiful liturgies of Easter, today's liturgy urges us to move ahead.
As stated in the gospel of today, the people asked Jesus "what can we do to accomplish the works of God? (it's a reasonable question to ask!) Christ answered, that they (and we) should believe in The One whom the Father sent." (see John 6:29)
We are taught that faith is a gift. It is a gift however, that we need to use and nurture. We sometimes use the term: "an informed faith." How much are we doing by way of prayer and study to enhance our precious gift? What are we doing on a daily, weekly basis to inform our gift, by reading, discussion with others, and/or listening to Catholic instructional media. Many people in the world are waiting for the Word of God from our lips and especially from our good, but silent, example. What do we have to share with them?
