Today's Scriptural Meditation Readings:
April 11, A.D. 2007
Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:
Psalm 105:1-2, 3-4, 6-7, 8-9
A brief reflection on today's Scripture passages:
He interpreted all that referred to Him . . . .
God spoke the scriptures through human creatures, through writers, and through imperfect means. Nevertheless, all scripture is inspired by God and speaks of Him. All scripture is a love letter from God to us. Each word tells us how much He loved us, how much He was moved by our plight.
Each word of scripture, because it speaks of God, speaks of Jesus. But often some scriptures refer to Him quite explicitly. Can you imagine the excitement of having someone come to you and tell you all about how prophecy was unmistakably fulfilled?
Well, that someone is the Holy Spirit. Walk with Him, talk with Him, and He will inform you as He did the hearts of the Apostles and disciples on that road to Emmaus. All we need do is read, ask, and wait. God wants to reveal Himself to us.
